Meet Kate
Kate Batson, Ph.D.

Kate Batson, Ph.D., is the founder of Batson English Language Services and is dedicated to helping multilingual individuals and organizations communicate with confidence and clarity. She holds a Ph.D. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Georgia and has spent her career working with international students, professionals, and institutions across the United States and abroad.
With over a decade of experience in English language teaching and education, Kate has worked in leadership, teaching, and program development roles within universities, where she designed English programs, built language assessments, and supported multilingual learners at every stage of their academic and professional journeys. She has taught more than 30 English and communication courses and has received multiple awards for excellence in teaching and mentorship.
Kate’s work goes beyond grammar and vocabulary. She specializes in helping people understand how English is actually used in professional, academic, and institutional settings—and how expectations can change across industries, cultures, and contexts. Her approach recognizes that strong communication is not about “fixing” someone’s English, but about building on the linguistic and cultural strengths they already have.
In addition to teaching, Kate has extensive experience advising international professionals and organizations on English proficiency requirements, workplace communication, and cross-cultural expectations. She has developed language assessments, trained evaluators, and worked closely with departments and employers to ensure fair and effective communication standards.
At the heart of Kate’s work is a belief that language should open doors, not create barriers. Through personalized instruction, consulting, and practical language support, she helps clients navigate English with confidence—whether for work, study, or everyday life.
